Our Large Oval Salad Bowl was sometimes made with sgraffito decoration in the 1980s. This style of decoration, an arched band of ivy foliage, was the work of long-time Peter Pots potter and RISD graduate Janet Pinsonneault, and dates to the mid-to late 1980s. The signature is that of Greta, who did the finishing and final shaping. It is finished in remarkably deep and flowing Seagull Blue glaze and is in pristine, gleaming, as-new condition. It is, without question, one of the finest examples we have seen. About 11” diameter and 4” height; rings like a bell.
