Every once in a while we find a vintage piece we have never seen before, either in photos or in person. Such is the case with this diminutive covered sugar bowl from the 1960s. It is cylindrical in shape, as opposed to the standard round-bottomed sugar bowls of the period, and significantly smaller at 3 3/4” in diameter. The creamer is equally rare with the side handle. Neither ever appeared in any photos or catalogs and are scarce as hen’s teeth. Both are in desirable Seagull Blue glaze with matching clay body and the correct 1960s signature. Both are damage and wear-free and retain the original glossy luster. Sugar 3 3/4” diameter, creamer 3” height.
